Porcelain Bowls and Dishes
Friday 3rd April, 2020
Porcelain clay has unique qualities, it’s delicacy, translucency and remarkable strength have an enduring appeal. Porcelain clay will be slab rolled, cut to shape and using both hump and slump moulds, dishes will be formed. Lace pressed onto the surface will create texture and slips applied to add colour.
More than one dish will be made and the individual will be encouraged to explore and experiment with their own ideas.
The day will begin with a coffee and chat with myself. All techniques will be demonstrated and you will be encouraged to experiment with your own ideas in a relaxed atmosphere enjoying the views from my workshop in rural Sussex.
The total cost of the workshop is £75 which includes all materials and firings.
Your work will be glazed and fired and will be ready for you to collect around two weeks after the workshop.
Plenty of drinks and biscuits are provided during the day, please bring your own packed lunch.
