I have a fascination with clay, its versatility intrigues me, and I enjoy encouraging others to explore and develop their own ideas in this wonderful medium.
My practice starts with an idea that I mull over for a while and can involve more than one process.
Porcelain is my preferred medium but sometimes I use stoneware and enjoy making a collection of similar objects that balance together. My work is process-led and ideas develop as I manipulate the clay.
Experimentation is an important part of my work and it is sometimes necessary to revisit an old technique as a starting point.
The Clay Place is my new workshop. It is a quiet and peaceful environment with views over the South Downs. I run regular workshops and courses, which you can find out more about here.
